The Role of Small Business in Economic Development

“Economic development. ”  Elected officials recognize these words as a hot button of popular and sometimes controversial issues.   Wikipedia defines economic development as “The sustained, concerted actions of policy makers and communities that promote the standard of living and economic health of a specific area. ”  Strategy for economic development revolves around the broad primary components of human capital, infrastructure and environment.  For example, adding infrastructure such as a road to an undeveloped area helps to make it more prime for growth, but without business enterprises and people to work and / or people to consume, the road remains empty and thus there may be no return on the expensive investment.

Free websites - are they any good?

There has been a large uptake of free websites by small NZ businesses in the last couple of years. Reportedly, over 10,000 businesses took up the free website offer sponsored by Westpac and MYOB, and more recently free website builder tools like Wix, Weebly and Squarespace. These have become very popular for small and new businesses, and Shopify is popular for ecommerce websites. At face value, these free website builder tools appear very attractive – but do they generate enquiries? They all make promises of being easy to create and publish, and that they will generate business while you sleep.

Find and create business legal documents

You may frequently be in a situation where you need to disclose sensitive information about your business to potential clients, customers or partners. If you do that, you will want to make sure that any disclosures are protected so that the recipient cannot pass the information onto anybody else or copy it, or use it for their own purposes. Equally, you may find that when information is disclosed to you, the discloser seeks to impose stringent or even impractical non-disclosure obligations on you. So, it makes sense to talk to an expert and/or use the right document so that you are suitably protected in relation to business information you reveal, and not unfairly burdened in relation to information you receive.

Best Printers to Buy Right Now

Choosing the best printer for your needs is a lot like buying a phone. You find a brand you like, select the features you want, and try not to get crushed by the hidden costs. But that can be hard. On average, printer ink—which many models gobble up—will set you back $50 per ounce. That's just one of the reasons why it's wise to do some research before you make your purchase. Laser printers are generally known for low printing costs and fast printing speeds, but they're not ideal for photos. If you want crisp images, you're better off with an inkjet printer, which sprays dots of ink onto the page, but those tend to be slower.

How to Start A Business

Follow these steps to start your business and get it registered with the City of Albuquerque. Step 1. Define the Business: For whom, doing what, how and where Step 2. Choose a Business Name. If you are planning on using a web site then you should consider registering your trade name and logo with the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office. You can do the basic research at U. S. The last thing that you want to happen is to receive a letter from some lawyer telling you to stop using the name you have chosen as it is trademarked.
